App says camera is in use

ProblemCamera and Microphone
Restart first
  1. Restart the device to release the camera.
  2. Open only the app or website that needs the camera.
  3. Test the camera again.
Close apps that may be using the camera
  • Quit browser tabs, Google Meet, Photo Booth, and any other app that may use the camera.
  • Reopen the app that needs the camera.
Check camera permission
  • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
  • Make sure the app or browser is allowed to use the camera.
Still stuck?
Try a reboot, then re-test. If it still fails, capture a screenshot of the error and bring your device to the tech office.
