App says camera is in use
ProblemCamera and Microphone
Restart first
- Restart the device to release the camera.
- Open only the app or website that needs the camera.
- Test the camera again.
Close apps that may be using the camera
- Quit browser tabs, Google Meet, Photo Booth, and any other app that may use the camera.
- Reopen the app that needs the camera.
Check camera permission
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
- Make sure the app or browser is allowed to use the camera.
Still stuck?
Try a reboot, then re-test. If it still fails, capture a screenshot of the error and bring your device to the tech office.
