Email not syncing

Check Gmail in the browser
  • Sign out of Gmail and sign back in.
  • Make sure sync is enabled for your Google account.
  • Check whether new mail appears in Gmail on the web first.
  • If Gmail works on the web, the issue is likely with the Gmail app or mail app settings.
Refresh the app connection
  1. Turn airplane mode or Wi-Fi off and back on.
  2. Remove and re-add the account in the mail app.
  3. Check that the device has enough free storage space.
Still stuck?
Try a reboot, then re-test. If it still fails, capture a screenshot of the error and bring your device to the tech office.
